Mount Kenya University Grading System

Mount Kenya University (MKU) having their own Grading System for all courses. At the of the final semester/year exam MKU publish student result. The score in the results for all subjects is represented as grades like P=Pass or F=Fails.

MKU Grading System

Attachments shall be assessed and graded on a “pass” and “fail” basis. Marking of examination papers ought to be completed by the third week from the date of the end of an examination session. In general, the university showing performance grades and the following letters:

Certificate and Diploma Courses Grading System

Diploma and Certificate classification shall be as follows unless otherwise specified by the Senate

Bachelor’s Degree (UG) Courses Grading System

Bachelor’s degree classification shall be as follows unless otherwise specified by the Senate

Master’s Degree (PG) Courses Grading System

Postgraduate’s degree classification shall be as follows unless otherwise specified by the Senate.  Each unit is marked out of 100%. The marks are translated into literal grades
